When painting for myself, they tend to be photorealistic seascapes in oil. However, whilst the traditional concept of watercolour is quite pale and 'watery', lacking much strength or substance; if necessary I can produce watercolours which could be mistaken for oils. Conversely, I can paint oils that have the translucency and 'light touch' of watercolour.
